Sludge management
Sludge treatment consists of managing the Suspended Solids which have been separated from the water thanks to the flotation and settling tanks. They are either reinjected in aeration tanks in order to maintain the necessary bacteria for the biological treatment, vented for treatment in a specialised centre, or revalorised (methanisation, composting, agricultural spreading).

Dissolved air flotation removes Suspended Solids, oils, greases/fat and particular Chemical oxygen Demand (COD), through to the ascensional speed of bubbles. Sludge thickening can reduce the volume by 5 to 10 times.
